I have been to Santa Fe and New Mexico at large a couple of times during this time of year, and I think of it often. The Palo Santo burning in the morning in the hills, the silence of the altitude, and the cover of snow. Your photos are so simple and evocative for me, thank you for this beautiful post welcoming winter.
After several decades of life, I became a Utah boy, so I know and love the desert. I made it down your way many a time. So how did I get to Utah? Isn't it funny how seeds of ideas have to planted, and then they either sprout, or are forgotten.
When I was a young boy in a completely urban environment, my grandmother was subscribing to Arizona Highways. I spent many fascinating hours whenever I was at her house, looking through those landscapes and wildflowers that were a complete mystery to a city boy. Then I made it a part of my life, unconsciously for sure.

Beautiful in winter too! We just had snow here in Wisconsin and it has been very fun to photograph and take walks in the woods. Thank you for sharing!

We are lucky to have such views ☺️
So pretty! Here (Amsterdam) is just cold and grey... sometimes wet... we are lucky when the sun shines!
Hoping for some snow ❄️ but so far only wet snow... 🥲😅
Enjoy it!
Yes, Northern Europe is so gray in the winter! Hope you stay warm.

Wow...up here in the "great white north" we've only had little spits of snow so far...nothing that has stuck yet!
This year they say that El Niño will be delivering cold & precip to the southern tier of the US.
